She has created opportunities for spiritual leaders and members of ethnic and mainstream communities to share values and beliefs in interfaith discussions.
Dr Ahmed became Chair of Canterbury Interfaith Society in 2021 and a Trustee on the Board of Ako Ōtautahi – Learning City Christchurch. Lady Khadija is a registered charity established in 2016 that works to support vulnerable groups and achieve social cohesion in the community through media projects such as broadcast programme ‘Open Table’, ‘Together in Humanity’ and the video documentary series ‘Immigrant Journeys’. To be a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit: AHMED, Dr Hafsaįor services to ethnic communities and womenĭr Hafsa Ahmed has held board positions in different organisations in the not-for-profit sector over the past decade and is co-founder and Trustee of Lady Khadija Charitable Trust.
